You don’t need a course.
You need ten minutes.

Most founders who buy a marketing course finish about two hours of it. That is not a discipline problem. Forty hours of video was never going to fit around running a business.

Why founders stall on marketing courses, and what to learn instead — the small number of fundamentals that act

The problem with courses

They are structured for completeness rather than usefulness. You need module fourteen and you get it after thirteen you did not need, which is why almost nobody reaches it.

What actually changes decisions

A surprisingly small number of things, and none of them take an hour to learn:

  1. That people look before they read, so your photography sells harder than your copy.
  2. That consistency builds recognition, and recognition is most of what a brand is.
  3. That every piece of content should have one job.
  4. That a claim you cannot evidence is worse than no claim.
  5. That the weakest part of your funnel decides the result, not the strongest.
Five ideas, understood properly, beat forty hours skimmed.

Why a little every day beats a lot occasionally

Because you apply it. A single idea, read on a Tuesday, is something you can use on Wednesday. Forty hours saved for a quiet week that never arrives is worth nothing.

How to make it stick

Read one idea. Answer one question about it, so you find out whether it landed. Then look at your own brand and ask whether it is true of you. That last step is the one people skip, and it is where the value is.

Common questions

Is a marketing course ever worth it?

Yes, when you have a specific gap and the course is narrow enough to fill it. A broad "learn marketing" course rarely survives contact with a working week.

How long before this makes a difference?

You will change a decision within the first week. Compounding takes months — but the first useful idea arrives on day one.

Your product is good.
Your brand should look like it.
